Pharmacies.city ("we," "us," "our") is an independent, privately operated online advertising and listing platform for pharmacies in the United States. We operate a public directory that displays pharmacy contact information sourced from public records and provided by business owners.

We are not a pharmacy, healthcare provider, medical practice, insurance company, or government agency. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

2 What We Do Not Collect

We want to be explicit about data we do not collect:

• Protected Health Information (PHI) of any kind.
• Prescription information, medication histories, or drug purchases.
• Medical records, diagnoses, or treatment data.
• Health insurance information.
• Information about why you are searching for a pharmacy.
• Sensitive personal identifiers such as Social Security Numbers or government ID numbers.
• Payment card data (any payments are processed by third-party payment processors).

3 Information We Collect

From visitors browsing the directory (patients):

• Usage data — pages visited, search queries entered, time on site, referring URLs.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system.
• Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5 for details.

We do not require visitors to create accounts or provide personal information to browse the directory.

From pharmacy owners submitting listings:

• Business name, address, phone number, website, hours of operation.
• Contact name and email address of the person submitting the listing.
• Uploaded photos related to the pharmacy listing.
• Payment information — collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (WayForPay or equivalent); we do not store full payment card details.

From contact form submissions:

• Name, email address, and the content of your message.

4 How We Use Information

We use collected information solely for the following purposes:

• To display and maintain pharmacy listings in the directory.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform's functionality and performance.
• To process listing submissions and payments from pharmacy owners.
• To respond to contact form inquiries and support requests.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
• To analyze anonymous usage patterns and improve user experience.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use data to make healthcare recommendations, target users based on health conditions, or build health-related profiles.

5 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for standard website operations:

• Essential cookies — required for the Platform to function (session management, security).
• Analytics cookies — anonymous usage statistics to understand how the Platform is used (e.g. Google Analytics).

We do not use cookies to track health-related behavior, build medical profiles, or serve health-targeted advertising.

• Safety — to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pharmacies.city, our users, or the public.

Pharmacy listing information (business name, address, phone, hours) is publicly displayed in the directory by design — this is the purpose of the Platform.

7 Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. These include HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure server infrastructure.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for breaches outside our reasonable control. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately via our Contact page.

8 Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy:

• Listing data is retained for the duration of the listing period and a reasonable period after expiry for record-keeping.
• Contact form submissions are retained for a reasonable period to address your inquiry, then deleted.
• Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely in aggregated form.
• Payment records are retained as required by applicable financial and tax laws.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 14).

9 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

10 Children's Privacy

Pharmacies.city is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately.

11 Third-Party Links and Pharmacy Websites

Listings on Pharmacies.city may include links to individual pharmacy websites and other third-party sites. These sites operate independently and have their own privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any third-party website.

When you click through to a pharmacy's website, you are subject to that pharmacy's privacy policy — not ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.

12 HIPAA Notice

Pharmacies.city is not a HIPAA-covered entity and is not subject to HIPAA requirements. We do not collect, transmit, store, or process Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA.

If you share health information with a pharmacy found through our directory, that pharmacy — as a HIPAA-covered entity — is responsible for handling your health information in compliance with applicable law. Pharmacies.city has no involvement in or responsibility for those interactions.

13 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
